The Iron Man
For this year's Late Show (18th, 19th May) the Club will be collaborating with the Newcastle Art Centre on a project celebrating The Iron Man. This was a famous children's novel by Poet Laureate Ted Hughes, which was the inspiration for the iron man sculpture that stands in the Art centre courtyard.

During the Late Show, the Art Centre main gallery will be open to visitors who will be able to do art work in a wide variety of media, on the Iron Man theme. NEAC are invited to provide work in different media, on the theme, which will hang in the gallery during the show as examples to participants. We will provide about 6 pieces of unframed work.

NEAC will be holding a workshop for members who would like to take part, where we will aim to create exciting and innovative work on the Iron Man theme :

NEAC Main Studio, 10am - 12.30pm, Wednesday May 2nd.

The Club will provide paper  and some materials.

In response to members interest in the Life drawing sessions we are going to try out an additional session with a model on Wednesdays from 1pm to 4pm. The first of these will be on Wednesday 21st February. The trial period will continue for a further 6 week through April-May
