Like many people I could only study painting when I retired and now it has become a passion. I love drawing and painting people in ordinary settings although it's very difficult to do with ease and fluency and city scenes with lots of people are even more difficult. But I shall go on trying! My art heroes are many but Degas, John Singer Sargent and the Scottish Colourists rank high.
