I started painting when we moved to Newcastle ten years ago. I have begun to find my own style in emphasis of geometries and patterns of light in natural and man-made structures. Painting has become more than just an absorbing hobby to me, I am constantly experimenting with colour, composition and expression. Living in Northumberland has given me an ever-changing source of inspiration in the wild landscapes, coastal harbours and riverside structures, and led me to appreciate the work of Scottish artists particularly Joan Eardley and William Gillies.
My work is exhibited at The Biscuit Factory in Newcastle, and at The Old School Gallery, Alnmouth, Northumberland. I have a studio at The Biscuit Tin, Newcastle.
