A 'follow-up' to the MayLife Drawing workshop was held in November13. Joe Buggy and Adrian Swales organised and tutored the session. Our model held the same pose four times for 15minutes, rotating 90degrees for each pose. Then held a longer pose for the rest of the session. Strong directed light and suspended plumb lines helped the group to concentrate on 3D form. This was a progression for the group who had attended the May workshop in which they concentrated on line drawing to get measured proportions of the model in a single pose.
Nine club members participated. Most were not regular participants at the life drawing and portrait sessions. With a fairly small group Adrian and Joe were able to give plenty of individual attention to each of the participants.
The overall response was of increased confidence through a better knowledge of how to start with methods to apply, and an enthusiasm to give it another go.
